Arsenal Review: 4-3-3 Formation Options - Song, Nasri & Fabregas?

  • Ben Mills (Arsenal Fan) · 4 months ago
Denilson is clearly a definate starter.

My ideal formation for next season would be

    ----------Almunia
    Sagna--Gallas--TV--Clichy
    --------Strong DM
    ------Cesc----Rosicky
    --RVP----Eduardo----Arshavin

with Theo coming in for van Persie, Bendtner for Eduardo, and Nasri for Rosicky. If they all stay fit (ha) I believe that is a league winning first XI

    My ideal formation would be:
    ---------------Almunia
    ---Sagna---Gallas---Vermealen--Clichy
    ----------------Song-----------------
    ------Wilshere-------Fabregas--------
    Van Persie------------------Arshavin-
    -------------Chamakh-----------------

Obviously Wilshere can't play every week but Nasri or Rosicky could easily fill in. You could then have a second eleven of:
    --------------Fabianski---------------
    --Eboue---Djourou----Silvestre--Gibbs
    ---------------Denilson---------------
    ---------Nasri------Rosicky-----------
    --Vela------------------------Walcott--
    -------------Eduardo-------------------

BS. Arsenal don't have enough quality to play a successful 4-3-3 formation. It is a pipe dream. Against any of the top clubs they will get hammered because the 4-3-3 requires great discipline and energy to its execution, traits that several of the players in the current squad lack. Barcelona's game against Manu in the CL final is a fine example of the manner in which the system is meant to be executed. While players such as Fabregas, Rosicky and Arshavin have what it takes, players like Song, van Persie, Theo and Bendtner are found wanting. Besides, a couple of pre-season games against inferior opposition is hardly adequate preparation.

Shouldn't you stick to posting on your own webite Myles?
  • Hugo · 4 months ago
Took the words right out of my mouth!

Regurgitating the rubbish spouted by Myles Palmer makes your very firmly voiced post neither orginal nor valuable in any way. It's bad enough that Palmer writes his crap in the first place, having morons condensing and repeating it on other websites is even worse!

I still think it's actually Myles.
If he'd mentioned a jazz club, or his old mate Dave Edmunds I have been absolutely positive....

Where is your original thought Hugo? At least Myles and this poster have something besides criticism to offer. Jackasses like you who slate every post because you disagree with them show you up for what you really are: clueless.
  • Hugo · 4 months ago
Hahaha! Thank you for your accurate an in depth assessment of my life and my knowledge of the game Sheila! Are you another of Mr Palmer's cunning aliases?

I am Myles. Those of you hypocrites who claim not to read my blog yet know of everything that I write are about as transparent as glass. Face it, the reason you are all so intrigued is bacause deep down you know I am right yet your shallow self-denial won't allow you to admit it. COYS

I too think it's Myles. This guy is so full of crap that he even wrote that Eto is the best African player ever. Did Miles ever see George Weah, Abedi Pele or Roger Milla play?

Arsenal need to add hieght to the quality they have already, ideally wenger still needs to buy 3 more players with a bit of height like Veira, Chamack/hantellar and hangeland(it doesn't matter whether he is cup tied, we still needs him to win the League). The 4-3-3 system will not work against all the teams.Chelsea, liverpool and MANU will simply shot that system down with long balls.

Funny how so many of you claim not to have read Myles yet seem so familiar with what he writes. If you think what he writes is such rubbish, then why do read it? I think Myles more sense than most of the bias tripe that passes for analysis out there. At least he isn't so narrow minded as to lose his objectivity. Your disagreement does not make you any more correct and he any less right. As with this blog, Myles's an opinion, take or leave it. Tearing into someone because you disagree with their views says more about you than you think.

    Sheila,
That's the trouble, Myles doesn't have objectivity. He has something else, call it, a hatred, of Wenger. He used to have access to George Graham, and his hierarchy. He doesn't anymore. He is not part of Wenger's inner circle. So he snipes from the sidelines, and writes pernicious articles, with no perspective about the modern game. He is utterly and completely clueless about the financial and technical aspects of the game. People are drawn to his articles because people read all things arsenal. If you are an arsenal fan, his articles are sick. But then, a lot of people suspect he is a chelsea fan, and he is just leeching off the publicity.
